A Storm of Swords
Three kings and a Far Away Queen
Joffrey, of House of Lannister
Lord Stannis
Young Robb, of House Stark
Daenerys, mistress of the only three dragons still left in this world.

A dozen characters
And so many story lines. Where does one begin to review a book of a thousand pages?

Ser Jaime Lannister
I hated Jaime Lannister. It's been a while but I don't think his voice was in the first two books. But I hated him for ruining Bran. For trying to murder him and plainly because he was a Lannister. So far the entire book series I have been completely cheering on the Starks!
Jaime surprised me in this book, I found him not to be the cruel person I originally thought. He was most definitely insane I mean he sleeps with his sister and thinks it's okay. But I found myself growing fonder of him by each passing chapters. And then he saves Brienne of Tarth one handed. And at the end of the book he does something completely unexpected. I think I like him now

Lady Catelyn Stark
I am not sure where to start with her. Her story annoyed me because I wanted to know more about Robb and his direwolf and not some sobby women grieving for her children. But I came to understand why she did things and her choices in the end were most interesting.

Tyrion Lannister
I like the little giant. I like that he is pretty much the only man he treats women somewhat decently. He is not cruel. I can't imagine having to put up with that family of his and I half wish he had poisoned Joffrey. He definitely deserved the revenge. I am curious if him and Sansa will ever met up again and how that meeting would go. I bet it would not go the way I would normal think. That actually seems to be the pattern with these books. Nothing I want happens happens but I am always happen with how things turn out. Martin is a fantastic writer.

Princess Sansa Stark
My least favorite character due to how weak she is. How can she have such an couragous family Robb, Arya, Bran, Jon and she be such a coward. And get I think she just wants believe in the good of everyone. I don't like what Littlefinger does to her. My favorite part with her though was her building the snow version of Winterfell. I think doing that helped Sansa grieve because she tends to keep it all bottled up inside.

Princess Arya Stark
My most favorite character. I love little Arya Stark. I love her jounrey. I love her little death list and I can't wait to read more about her. I enjoyed her thoughts about the Hound and her strange relationship with him. I also like how the cover, is what I imagined his helm to look like. Only I was picturing it upside down full of boiling wine.

Prince Bran Stark
I want to know more about this third eye. There is magic in these books and I want to see more of it and know more of it. But I don't think it's coming. I feel like it's a great storm but we will never understand what it is. And I love his two companions they are awesomely frog like!

Samwell Tarly
I have always enjoyed Sam from the beginning but it was nice to read from his side of things. He overcomes so many fears. I have some many favorite moments with Sam... him leading the stranges down the well to the gate. Him arranging the vote for the Lord Commander of the Wall, his love for the woman and her baby.

Ser Davos Seaworth
I did not want to read about Ser Davos at first, he was a bore at the beginning. A new character not attached to the ones I wanted to read about. But I like his morals and I like how he becomes the Hand and does not give into peer pressure. I am also happy that he is the first person to stand up to the lady in red.

Queen Daenerys Targaryen
Another favorite character. I love her little dragons - Viserion, Rhaegal and Drogon. I will say nothing about it but that I can't wait to read more about her and her journey to Westeros.

Jon Snow
It is hard to decide who is my most favorite Arya, Daenerys or Jon Snow. I love Jon and Ygritte and their time spent in the cave. I enjoyed his ending

Other side notes I wish to say... INCLUDING SPOILERS
I can't believe that Catelyn 'died' and that Robb is dead is well! I was really cheering for the Starks to win and become the kings of the land. Even though I love Daenerys I hoped that she stand and ruled on the other side of the ocean and didn't go to Westeros so that Robb could rule. His death shocked me and I didn't read for two days. I wanted the Starks to have a happy ending and see Robb Stark sitting on his throne with Lady Catelyn beside him and Sansa, Arya, Bran, Rickon, and Jon all on the steps below. Will all six direwolves beside them. I know it won't be possible with Jon on the Wall and Sansa wolf dead, but it was a nice dream.
Once that happened and I started reading again. I waiting Daenerys to invade right away and kick the rest of the kings out, but now I am liking Stannis and Daenerys has settled into Meereen.
But the book has finshed ends with the death of Merrett Frey in the most interesting manner ever! So I am off in search of Book 4!

My EReader died so I had to pick up another book while it charged. I needed something completely different than A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin because that would get confusing and so I went the Amish route and picked up the Telling by Beverly Lewis.

I love Amish stories. I would love to try their pies or Apple Butter or even just a loaf of bread. The hutterites up here have some pretty interesting things to, but the Amish are different in the fact that they don't have cell-phones or vehicles. The Amish stick to tradition, no matter what.

This story is very interesting. But I could guess how it ended by the third chapter. It still however made me cry. Heather's journey and treatment are most interesting and I would love to look more into what the treatment was all about and see if such a thing exists because I have a friend who has aggressive cancer and the treatment centre really made me think.

Gracie and Lettie are interesting characters but the one I enjoyed the most this round was Judah, Lettie's husband and Gracie's father. How he handles things is wonderful and he truly loves Lettie.

This was the perfect story to read in the mist of great battles the Night Watch and wildlings...
