The beginning of this books is very dramatic, I almost stopped reading because it was graphic and I am not a fan of death or the like. But it was well done.
Christianity and fantasy is an interesting combination. Usually I don't mind the mix (my favorite books is the Chronicles of Narnia), but when it's done in this time frame, it just didn't work. The world Jacob lives in is the same as the one I live in, so adding fantasy characters just felt unrealistic. Yet at the sametime I enjoyed the story.
I find it hard to believe this is a series, it felt very complete at the end. But I can't write a review like the one I found on Amazon read the one by Laura!
